N. Highland Steel Lofts
Lord, Aeck & Sargent master planned and designed the multi-building, mixed-use project located between North Highland Avenue and the proposed Beltline in the Inman Park Historic District.
Comprised of Grinnell Lofts, N. Highland Steel Lofts and The Shops at N. Highland Steel, this five building mixed-use community is organized within a new street network that complements the historic neighborhood context. Amenities include a pool, fitness center and structured, surface and on-street parking.
Grinnell Lofts is a residential condominium which incorporates an historic street front façade. N. Highland Steel Lofts are located in three new apartment buildings over the street level Shops at N. Highland. One existing structure, believed to be one of Atlanta’s oldest standing office buildings, was adapted into a new restaurant. Site preparation involved demolition of non-historic industrial structures, much of which was recycled.
